Men's Tennis takes care of UAB 4-3 on the road

NASHVILLE – Lipscomb men's tennis won its second match in a row Saturday with a big 4-3 victory on the road at UAB in Birmingham.

The Bisons (4-3) fought hard to win the doubles point to begin the match. Pablo Caffarena and Maksim Bogdanovich teamed up to win 6-3 in the third position before Jorge Ortegon and Pedro Uribe earned a 7-5 victory on the top line to clinch the point.

After UAB won the No. 2 singles to pull even, Lipscomb got straight-set victories from No. 1 Caffarena (6-2, 6-4) and No. 3 Bogdanovich (7-5,7-6) to go up 3-1.

Following another UAB win on court four, Lipscomb's Gonzalo Garcia-Nieto clinched the win for the purple and gold on the fifth line with a 7-5, 7-5 sweep over Daniel Janko of UAB.

The Blazers won a three-set matchup at the No. 6 position to round out Saturday's action.
