Men's Tennis Sees Season Come to an End at ASUN Tournament

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Lipscomb University Men's Tennis team suffered a 4-0 loss to Stetson University in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament, Wednesday evening from the FGCU Tennis Center on the campus of Florida Gulf Coast University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
It was a clean sweep for the Hatters in doubles play, taking all three flights to get out to the 1-0 lead.
In singles, Stetson won the first set in five of the six flights as they took wins on courts three, five and six to clinch the match to advance to the semis.
Filippo Verdese earned the lone set win in singles for the Bisons, taking a 7-5 victory versus Christian Kuehne before the match was called due to the singles clinch by the Hatters.
For Lipscomb men's tennis, they earned 10 wins in a year for the third straight time in 2026. Additionally, this marked the 18th time in program history and the fourth straight year the program has qualified for the conference tournament.
