CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS TAKE SECOND AT NORTH ALABAMA SHOWCASE

NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb Men's and Women's Cross Country teams put on an electric show in Huntsville, Alabama Friday morning as both teams landed second place finishes in the North Alabama Showcase.

The men's team logged their second 2^nd-place finish of the season in the 8K.

Their success was highlighted by two top-10 finishes as senior Brent Leber logged a fifth-place finish (24:07.13) and sophomore Brady Johnson finished 10^th (24:29.01). Seniors Joshua Bell and Adam Cortez finished in the top-20 at the 13^th (24:50.20) and 20^th (25:01.61) spots, respectively.

The Lady Bisons logged a team score of 90 behind two top-20 finishes in Huntsville.

Freshman Lydia Miller led the Bisons with an eighth-place finish and a time of 17:03.21 while senior Merabu Nagwandala finished 18^th with a time of 17:32.37. The women's team logged three more top-25 finishes with Sydney Liddle in 22^nd (17:35.26), Mollie Longmire in 24^th (17:39.94), and Colbi Borland in 25^th (17:43.08).
