LEBER EARNS FOURTH MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK HONOR

NASHVILLE –Men's Cross Country graduate student Brent Leber was named ASUN Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week as announced by the league on Tuesday. The honor marked Leber's fourth Runner of the Week award and the thirteenth time in league history the award has gone to a Bison.

In his first race of the season, Leber logged a 5^th place finish in the North Alabama Showcase on Friday in the 8K race.

His time of 24:07.13 marks his second-best time in an 8K behind his 23:49.8 finish at the 2019 Louisville Classic.

The Maryland native's performance helped the Bisons to a definitive second-place finish at the meet as the squad earned 74 points, more than 40 points better than the third-place team.

Leber and the rest of the Bisons will be back in action next weekend (Saturday, Oct. 2) at the Louisville Classic.
