NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb Men's and Women's Cross Country teams were in action for the first time this fall at the Belmont Opener on Friday. The squads were highlighted by a second-place overall team finish by the men's team.
Lipscomb had three runners compete in the women's 5K on Friday evening to open up the season.
Madison Allie led the way for the Bisons with a 10
th place finish (19:22.39).
Gracie Hall finished right behind in 11
thplace (19:34.12) with
Kalliope Clayton rounding out the Lipscomb field with a 32
nd place finish (21:18.76).
The men's team got out to a strong start in their season opener with a second-place team finish with a team score of 56.
Joshua Bell led the way for the Bisons with a fourth-place finish (15:25.59).
Cole Kimmel (15:33.30) and
Ben Butcher (15:35.12) also notched top-10 times with an eighth and ninth place finish, respectively.
