Kiara Carter Named to 2023 Fall ASUN Winners for Life Team

ATLANTA, Ga. – Lipscomb cross country and track & field athlete Kiara Carter was named one of the 2023 Atlantic Sun Conference Fall Winners for Life as announced by the league office Thursday afternoon. Carter was one of eleven athletes from the conference chosen for the honor.

Carter earned her place on the team after an impeccable career and a spectacular 2023 cross country season. She earned a 3.36 GPA towards her degree in Exercise Science while also earning the 2023 ASUN WXC Runner of the Year title, helping push the Bisons on towards their tenth ASUN Championship title as she led the squad to a perfect score at the meet.

The Nolensville, Tenn. native put up a personal best time of 18:54.4 at the NCAA Division I South Region Cross Country Championships to once again lead the Bisons across the line as she finished ninth overall. The Bisons then went on to earn their first NCAA National Championship team appearance where they finished 11^th overall out of 31 teams with a total of 353 points.

In addition to her work on the course, Carter is a member of both the Lipscomb Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the President's Student Advisory Council (PSAC). She also volunteers with Bison Track and Field and helps with On The Avenue - a disability and support organization - along with spending time at Carter Lawrence Elementary School.
