NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb University Women's Basketball team announced three new members to the program on the first National Signing Day for high school student-athletes on Wednesday.
Lexi Primus, Caroline Quigley and Presley Samz have signed their national letters of intent to play at Lipscomb University.
"We love the toughness and competitiveness of the class! We believe that they fit our University and program's mission and values," said head coach
Lauren Sumski.
Below is more information on each signee.
Lexi Primus | Bicknell, Indiana | North Knox High School | Indiana Basketball Club
Accolades:
2x small school All-State
2x All-Area
2x All-Conference
Why she chose Lipscomb:
Everything about it felt perfect. The smaller campus, great location, amazing people, and the Christian community was perfect. Lipscomb had everything I wanted for college.
Thoughts from Coach Sumski:
Lexi is an elite shooter off the catch and off the move. She has also developed into someone who can become a secondary ballhandler and be a threat to score at the rim as well.
Caroline "CC" Quigley | Noblesville, Indiana | Noblesville High School | Indiana Basketball Club
Accolades:
First team all-conference
Indiana Futures
Regional and Sectional Champion 2023
Why she chose Lipscomb:
I chose Lipscomb because I loved the coaches, team, and location. I feel like I can grow both as a player and as a person there.
Thoughts from Coach Sumski:
CC brings a combo of size, skill and athleticism that will allow her to play multiple positions and create mismatches at different spots on the floor. Her ability to shoot, make decisions on the perimeter, and score in the paint is a great piece for us.
Presley Samz | Hartland, Wisconsin | Arrowhead High School | Wisconsin Lakers
Accolades:
Two-time All-Defensive team
Three-time all-conference
All-State Honorable Mention
Two-time Academic All-State
Currently second all-time assists for a season at Arrowhead
Currently second all-time career assists at Arrowhead
Tied for first for most assists in a state game
Why she chose Lipscomb:
I chose Lipscomb because it felt like home. The small campus drew me in, and so did my future teammates and all the coaches there.
Thoughts from Coach Sumski:
Presly is a versatile point guard who has the ability to create for others and herself, but she can also space the floor with her shooting ability. Her vision will also allow us to play faster in transition.
