Alejandro Rodriguez Named ASUN Golfer of the Week

NASHVILLE -- Lipscomb Men's Golf's Alejandro Rodriguez was named the ASUN Golfer of the Week on Thursday. The honor comes after Rodriguez led Lipscomb to the Stitch Intercollegiate title this week. Rodriguez paced Lipscomb with a second-place finish, posting a 209 (-4), finishing just one stroke behind the tournament champion. Rodriguez steadily improved throughout the tournament, improving in every round. He started off his weekend shooting a 71 before improving with a 70 in the second round and finished with a 68 in his final round to improve four spots and claim the tournament runner-up position. Rodriguez connected on 11 birdies throughout the tournament, including ripping off five birdies in his final round to be one of just five competitors to finish under par.
