TEMPE, Ariz. – The Lipscomb University men's and women's tennis teams were recognized on the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's All-Academic Awards, announced by the ITA on Monday.
The ITA administers two academic awards: ITA All-Academic Teams and the ITA Scholar-Athletes.
For the All-Academic Teams, each program must have a 3.2 grade point average or better for the 2024-25 academic year.
On the women's side, this marks the ninth time since 2004 the Bisons have earned All-Academic with a 3.76 GPA over the course of the academic year. During the spring season, they recorded a 3.63 GPA, which was the third-highest among the Bisons women's sports.
The ASUN saw the following institutions named All-Academic: Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Eastern Kentucky, Florida Gulf Coast, Lipscomb, Queens and Stetson.
Additionally, the ITA Scholar-Athletes must have a GPA of 3.5 for the 2024-25 academic year.
For the Lipscomb women, six were recognized as Scholar-Athletes:
Serafima Bobrovnikova,
Alina Cherniaieva,
Deborah Dominguez Collado,
Sofiia Paladi,
Kameliia Tytarenko and
Sofiia Zhylchuk.
