DALLAS – Brock Puckett of the Lipscomb University Baseball team has been listed on the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year preseason watch list, announced by the association on Tuesday.
A total of 104 players have been named to the initial 2026 Watch List for the 21st Annual NCBWA Stopper of the Year Award, given to the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I Baseball. The institution or conference sports information directors submitted nominees.
Puckett, a graduate student from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, posted a 2.91 earned run average in 21.2 innings last season. Recording two wins and three saves, he struck out 27 batters, including a season-high three during the ASUN Tournament against Central Arkansas.
Allowing opposing batters to a .165 clip in 2025, Puckett allowed right-handed batters to an .089 mark (4-of-45) mark and had a .191 average (9-of-41) with runners on base.
Entering his third season with the Bisons, he has appeared in 28 games since transferring from Columbia State Community College.
Puckett is one of five players from the Atlantic Sun Conference named to the preseason watch list.

Lipscomb will open the 2026 schedule on Friday with a three-game series against Dayton. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. from Ken Dugan Field at Stephen Lee Marsh Stadium.
