COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb University Men's Tennis Team was unable to clinch the match late in singles to Tennessee Techniological University, as they won the final two points to defeat the Bisons, 4-3, Friday afternoon from the Tech Tennis Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After Tech swept the doubles point by taking all three flights, the Bisons went to work in singles.
Oliver Thoeny (4-4) got the visitors on the board first with his 6-4, 6-4 win over Linus Rohlin on court six.
TTU claimed the 2-1 advantage after winning on court one, but
Alex Vlahos on court four secured his first dual win of the spring with a 6-4, 7-6 result to even the match at two.
Oskar Szymczak (15-9) earned his sixth win of the spring with a crucial three-set win, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to put Lipscomb one court away from taking the match on the road. However, the Golden Eagles took three-set bouts on courts two and three to win the contest, 4-3.

Lipscomb will break for 12 days before returning to the courts, as the Bisons will next face Belmont on March 12 to open the outdoor portion of the home schedule.
