JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Atlantic Sun Conference announced on Tuesday afternoon that senior
Facundo Perlov was chosen as the ASUN Men's Tennis Player of the Week.
The Buenos Aires, Argentina native went a perfect 3-0 on the week between singles and doubles in Lipscomb's weekend wins over Austin Peay and Alabama A&M.
Saturday against the Governors, Perlov took down Rohan Loubser at the top flight, rallying from a second set loss to win in a 10-point break, 6-3, 4-6, 10-8.
The next day against the Bulldogs, after he and
Alex Vlahos blanked Arnav Pathange / Goran Krivokapic, 6-0, he clinched the match for the Bisons with his 6-4, 7-5 victory that saw him rally from a 4-1 deficit to Pathange in the second set.
Perlov is currently 11-9 overall this season in singles and is 3-1 early in the spring season. Additionally, the senior, in his two-plus seasons at Lipscomb, has a career record of 89-61 between singles and doubles since transferring to the Music City in 2024.
The Bisons will start a six-match road swing on Friday, Feb. 13 at Southern Indiana.
