Box Score NASHVILLE, TN – Lipscomb Softball fell to Bellarmine, 11–7, in the ASUN series finale on Sunday afternoon.
The Bisons struck first in the top of the opening inning when Mallory Ogle singled to center field and drove in two runs, bringing home Brenna Sherman and Chapel Cunningham to give Lipscomb an early 2–0 lead.
Bellarmine answered quickly in the bottom of the inning, putting together a big offensive frame to take the lead. The Knights continued to add on through the middle innings to build their advantage.
Lipscomb continued to battle back offensively. Presley Rader launched a solo home run to center field to cut into the deficit, and the Bisons later tied the game in the fifth inning when Macey Ogle grounded out to bring home Rader.
Moments later, Macyn Kirby delivered an RBI single to shortstop to score Mallory Ogle, giving Lipscomb a 6–5 lead.
Bellarmine responded with a large rally in the bottom of the fifth inning to regain the lead and extend the margin. The Knights added insurance runs later in the game to secure the victory.
The Bisons continued to fight late, as Macyn Kirby added another RBI single in the seventh inning to score Grace Cassarello, but Lipscomb was unable to close the gap.

Lipscomb returns to action on Wednesday, March 18, when the Bisons host Eastern Illinois University in a midweek matchup.
