Box Score 2 NASHVILLE, TN – Lipscomb Softball honored its seniors on Saturday afternoon but fell in both games of a doubleheader against Austin Peay, dropping Game 1, 3–0, and Game 2, 4–1.
Prior to the first pitch, the Bisons recognized their senior class for their contributions to the program, celebrating their impact on and off the field.
GAME 1: AUSTIN PEAY 3, LIPSCOMB 0
Austin Peay struck early, scoring in the second inning before adding another run in the third to take a 2–0 lead.
The Governors extended their advantage in the fifth inning, pushing the score to 3–0.
Lipscomb was unable to generate offense in the contest as Austin Peay held the Bisons scoreless to secure the shutout victory.
GAME 2: AUSTIN PEAY 4, LIPSCOMB 1
Austin Peay took the lead in the fourth inning and added another run to go ahead 2–0.
The Bisons responded in the bottom half of the inning when Presley Rader launched a solo home run to cut the deficit to 2–1.
Austin Peay answered in the sixth inning with two runs to extend its lead to 4–1.
Lipscomb was unable to mount a late comeback as the Governors completed the doubleheader sweep.

The Bisons will return tomorrow, April 26 for the series finale, before they hit the road next week to face Central Arkansas, beginning on Thursday, April 30 with first pitch set for 4:00 p.m. The series continues with a doubleheader on Friday, May 1, starting at 1:00 p.m.
