BIRMINGHAM, Ala. / JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Lipscomb University Men's Tennis team fell in the first two matches of the road trip, falling 5-2 to Samford University on Wednesday (March 18) and 7-0 to the University of North Florida on Friday.
The Bulldogs are ranked 66th in the latest ITA National Rankings, announced by the association on Tuesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED, SAMFORD
After Samford opened the match with the doubles point, the Bulldogs secured victories in singles on courts one, two, five and six.
Oskar Szymczak (18-10) and
Henrique Ushizima (13-13) secured wins for the Bisons in the middle of the singles lineup. On court three, Ushizima picked up his ninth spring win via a Samford retirement.
Szymczak also collected his ninth dual win on Wednesday with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory over Lukas Dvorak in the fourth flight.

HOW IT HAPPENED, NORTH FLORIDA
North Florida got out to a strong start with the team win in doubles after taking courts one and three.
The Ospreys picked up all six singles flights as well to earn the shutout. However, after UNF clinched, Ushizima and Szymczak went to a deciding 10-point third set.
