NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb University Men's Tennis team shut out the College of William & Mary by a 5-0 result on Saturday afternoon from the Huston-Marsh-Griffith Tennis Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
It was quick work for the Bisons in doubles play. The Purple and Gold saw
Facundo Perlov and
Filippo Verdese improve to 4-0 as a doubles team with a 6-0 shutout on court two. For Perlov, he is now 20-7 in doubles play.
The doubles point was clinched on court three, as
Henrique Ushizima and
Oliver Thoeny (3-4) defeated Raz Katz and Nikita Bortnichek, 6-3. Ushizima now has an 18-9 record when playing doubles.
The Bisons picked up four singles points to clinch the match. Vlahos and Thoeny each picked up their sixth win of the year on courts five and six, respectively, to lead 3-0.
Perlov (15-17) clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-2 result over Oliver Hague on court one, while Ushizima (15-14) also won 6-1, 6-4 versus Austin Cohen at the third flight.
HERD NOTES
Securing his win in singles,
Facundo Perlov earned his 100th career win between singles and doubles at Lipscomb since transferring in 2024. On Saturday, he secured his 52nd singles win and 48th at doubles.
Including his time at Division II Lees-McRae, Perlov has won 122 matches in his collegiate career between singles and doubles.
