
Men's Tennis Collects ITA All-Academic Accolade; Six Listed Scholar-Athletes

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Lipscomb University Men's Tennis team was honored on the 2025-26 ITA Academic Awards, released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Monday.
The ITA administers two academic awards: ITA All-Academic Teams and the ITA Scholar-Athletes.
This marks the fifth time since 2020 that the program has been recognized as an ITA All-Academic Team. The program had a 3.90 GPA in the fall and a 3.77 in the spring.
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must meet the following requirements:
Former members Austin Peay and North Alabama, now in the United Athletic Conference, were also listed.
In addition, all six players who competed in the spring roster were recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes: Facundo Perlov, Oskar Szymczak, Oliver Thoeny, Henrique Ushizima, Filippo Verdese, and Alex Vlahos.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:

- All student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and
- All varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year
