Dwight Dale is entering his 10th season with the Lipscomb women's tennis team and his fourth as the squad's associate head coach ahead of the 2024-25 season.
In his time with the Bisons, Dale has helped guide the team to ASUN conference tournament appearances every year with the exception of 2022 and in 2020 when no championship was held. With his assistance, the Bisons made it to the semi-finals for the first time in the program’s Division I era in 2015 and followed up that trip with semi-finals appearances in 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2021.
Dale helped guide the Bisons to a banner season in 2024 when the squad earned the program's first national ranking with the best start to a season in program history. Â The Bisons erned the No. 2 seed in the ASUN Tournament, the program's highest ever seed.
As a junior player, Dale was nationally ranked in both singles and doubles and participated in a number of national level events. Dale also represented the Southern section at the National Zonals event.
A Nashville native, Dale competed for Montgomery Bell Academy in high school and was a multi-season All-State performer. He was also a member of their 2003 State Championship Team.
Dale has taken his teachings to the Lipscomb community as a whole, serving as one of the head teaching professionals at the Lipscomb Racquet Club for 10 years and is a PTR certified teaching professional.
