CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Lipscomb Junior Jenny Borck finished third place in the Steve Baras Fall Classic Sunday at Tennessee-Chattanooga.
“Defeats and wins, there are no excuses in this group,” coach Jamie Aid said. “They are a hard working bunch, wanting to become better and better. They understand the process.”
Borck won her match against Marcela Jiminez from Eastern Kentucky with the score of 6-0, 6-1.
Melissa Kromer, Lorena Djuknic, Sierra Troxel and Deahna Welcher lost their singles matches.
In doubles Welcher and Borck beat the duo of Stein and Huekinghaus from Kennesaw State 8-5.
Candeloro and McCall from Tennessee-Martin defeated Kromer and Djuknic 8-0.
“All in all I was pleased,” Aid said. “We are looking forward to working hard before we go to Clemson. I think our results will show improvements throughout this fall.”
