LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lipscomb track and field squad is headed to Virginia this weekend with hopes to end the indoor season on a high note at the ASUN Championships.

The meet is set to begin at 8:30 on Friday morning at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex, with events scheduled throughout the day.

The action will pick back up on Saturday morning at 8:30 and continue on until the weekend’s final event at 4 p.m.

A herd of Bisons will be competing for several podium spots during the meet, hoping to match last season’s high total of All-Conference spots.

In men’s distance, sophomore Ryan Speer and freshman Jonathan Schwind have combined to win three of the six ASUN Track Athlete of the Week awards this season and are looking to continue that hot streak into the weekend.

On the women’s side, sophomore Courtney Brenner and junior Brooke Kingma have turned in solid results in their respective events and will attempt to repeat those results in Virginia.
