MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. - The Lipscomb softball team continued its winning ways on Friday afternoon by opening up the EMU Madeira Beach Invitational with a 4-3 win over Virginia.

Junior Mandy Jordan earned her second win of the season by dealing 12 strikeouts and only allowing two earned runs.

The Lady Bisons (3-0) scored the game-winning run as senior Caitlin Plocheck drew a bases-loaded, walk-off walk to score freshman Jenna Endris.

Endris was pinch-running for junior Sarah Higgins who had doubled to left center.

Lipscomb scored a pair of runs in the first inning after loading the bases.

Sophomore Hannah Devault reached on an error to send freshman Caitlin Turner home, and Plocheck RBI singled to score Higgins.

The Purple and Gold scored their third run in the third inning as Plocheck doubled to center, advanced to third on a passed ball, and then scored on an error.

Lipscomb will close out Friday with a 5:30 p.m. matchup with George Mason.
