
Spicer Game Winner Leads Bisons Past Flames

THE SHORT STORY: In an offensively driven match, Lipscomb came out on top 3-2 with a game-winner from Tyrese Spicer to snap a five-game Liberty winning streak.
QUICK FACTS:
- Lipscomb took a quick 1-0 lead when Bakary Bagayoko scored in the 3' minute.
- The Flames quickly equalized with a goal of their own in the 4' minute.
- Carlo Cavalar put the Bisons ahead 2-1 with his first career goal in the 13' minute.
- Liberty continued to fight and tied the match 2-2 in the 62' minute.
- The game winner came in the 72' minute from the foot of Spicer.
The Bisons got out to a quick start, taking the lead in the 3' minute when Hayes Wood played through ball for Bagayoko who outran his defender. He dribbled just outside the near post and slotted a right-footed shot past the keeper for a 1-0 lead.

Liberty quickly responded with an equalizer in the 4' minute with an impressive shot from 25-yards out that beat the Lipscomb keeper.
The Bisons continued to be the aggressor and found another strike in the 13' minute to go ahead 2-1. Cavalar collected an attempted clear just outside the 18-yard box and curled a right-footed shot through the defense and inside the near post.

With another strike from distance, Liberty equalized in the 62' minute for yet another tie.
Lipscomb put the game away in the 72' minute when Louis Robinson and Alejandro Lopez linked up on the left flank. Lopez played the ball to Spicer who put a left footed shot to the upper right corner of the net for a 3-2 lead.

Liberty pressed in the final minutes of the match, but keeper Michael Sibley and the Lipscomb defense held strong.
NOTABLE:
- The Bisons snapped a five-game Liberty winning streak.
- Lipscomb won the possession battle 59% - 41%.
- Sibley notched seven saves on the night, tying a career high.
- Shots were tied 15-15 and the Bisons landed seven on frame.
- Lipscomb's 15 shots were divided between nine players.
"It was a fantastic win today" said Tyrese Spicer. "Knowing we lost back-to-back games, we had to give 100% for 90 minutes to come out with a victory against a great opponent like Liberty. We had to execute today and we did that fantastically with spectacular goals. We have to keep focused and humble and keep working hard and we will stay on track," added Spicer.
