Men's Soccer Drops Non-Conference Matchup at North Carolina

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Lipscomb dropped a non-conference matchup to North Carolina 3-1 on Saturday at Play2Dream Legacy Stadium.
First Half
- North Carolina created the early chances, taking the first six shots of the half while the Bisons kept the match scoreless.
- Noah Kump made a save on Ryan Zellefrow in the 26' minute during a North Carolina stretch that included two corner kicks and three shots.
- The Bisons generated their first shot in the 32' minute through Mateo Secaira, then forced a save in the 41' minute on Kylian Karsenty's attempt.
- Kump added another save on Zellefrow just before halftime, and the match remained scoreless at the break.
Second Half
- North Carolina struck twice early in the half, with Ryan Zellefrow scoring in the 47' minute and Joschi Schelb scoring a minute later for a 2-0 lead.
- The Bisons continued to fight and got one back in the 69' minute when Mateo Secaira and Alejandro Valcarce pressured the North Carolina back line to force a turnover. Secaira found Valcarce in the box, who netted the goal to make it 2-1.Â
