Men's Soccer Signs Jones Brothers As Part of 2022 Signing Class

NASHVILLE – Lipscomb Men's Soccer and head coach Charles Morrow announced two members of its 2021 recruiting class on Wednesday, National Letter of Intent Day.

Brothers Malachi and Levi Jones will join the Purple and Gold after successful careers at Grace Christian Academy. While at Grace Christian Academy, the brother's led their team to several titles, including: 2021 Division II Class A State Runner-Up, 2021 Smoke Mountain Champions, 2019 Division I Class A State Champions, 2019 and 2018 Southern Coast Cup Champions.

"We are excited to welcome both Levi and Malachi Jones to our program," said Morrow. "We have enjoyed watching their growth and development over the last couple of years. When we were able to speak with Levi and Malachi, we quickly came to the conclusion that they would be a great fit for our program."

The duo was also part of a Nashville United Soccer Academy Team team that were 2018 State Champions, 2019 Regional Southern President's Cup Runner-Up, 2021 Stats Champions, Bash in the Boro Champions and NASA Top Hat Classic Tournament Champions.

"We see Malachi being able to come in and compete right away. He is a dynamic attacking threat who we see developing into a dominant player for us in the years to come," added Morrow. "The biggest question for Malachi will be how quickly he can hit the ground running. If he manages the transition to Division I well, he will add even more firepower to an already explosive attacking group."

"Levi has had a successful club career primarily featuring in central midfield roles. Levi has also done very well in wide spaces," said Morrow. "He is a technical player that we feel is versatile enough to help out in several different roles."

"Levi and Malachi are very good soccer players and great young men. We feel like both Levi and Malachi have only scratched the surface oof how good they can be, and we are excited to get them both on campus and get to work," added Morrow.
