Bisons Round Out Season With Loss At Kennesaw State

KENNESAW, Ga. – No. 3 Lipscomb fell 10-1 to No. 2 Kennesaw State Saturday afternoon at Stillwell Stadium in ASUN Quarterfinal action.

The Owls used a four-run third and a six-run sixth inning to score all of their runs. The Bisons were outhit 8-4 in the final game of the 2021 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Owls took a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the third by way of four hits and a Bisons error.

Lipscomb responded in the top of the fourth with a run to cut into the KSU lead. Robbie Merced led off the inning with a base knock through the right side.

He scored when Malik Williams rocketed an RBI double to left field.

The Bisons stranded runners on the corners, but not before they cut into the Owls' lead.

The Owls put six runs on the board in the bottom of the sixth to balloon the lead 10-1.

Lipscomb scored another run in the top of the ninth. Ty Jones put a two-run single up the middle to score Tiger Borom who had a hit earlier in the inning.

The Bisons ultimately fell 10-2 in the final game of the season.
