- Bellarmine increased its lead 5-1 in the bottom of the fourth.
- The Bisons got a run back in the top of the fifth on a sacrifice fly delivered by Malik Williams that cut lead 5-2.

- Lipscomb began to cut into the lead in the top of the seventh. Haddon Adams worked a leadoff walk and scored when Maddux Houghton doubled to left center for a 7-3 score.
- David Graves got the Bisons within a run with one swing of the bat later in the inning with a deep shot to right field that made the score 7-6.
- Needing a run to keep the game alive, Lipscomb did the job in the top of the ninth. Again, Stamps and Bertolani got two on with no outs to start the inning. Borom then juiced the bases when he beat out the throw at first. Carter Smith doubled to right center which knotted things 7-7.
- The lead came when heads-up base running from the Bisons allowed two more to cross the plate on a dropped third strike for a 9-7 lead.
- Tyler Guilfoil took over the bump to try for his second save in as many days. A leadoff home run put the pressure on, but Guilfoil got the outs needed, backed by a fantastic grab by Smith at third for the final out of the game and a 9-8 victory.
