Cross Country Teams Bring Home Five Personal Bests at UAB Blazer Classic

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Lipcsomb's men's and women's cross country programs completed their first meet of the weekend Friday morning. The women's team ran first and claimed fourth place with a total of 87 points and the men's team followed up with a sixth place finish from a total of 190 points.

Maddie Moody led the women's squad across the line as she finished fifth overall with a time of 21:44.20 in the 6K. Freshman Abigail Horevay followed closely behind in sixth place with a personal best time of 21:50.20.

Lipscomb's third runner across the line also logged a personal best as Ellie Brewer put up a time of 22:04.20 to finish 11^th. Mollie Longmire and Grace McGuckin crossed the line 23^rd and 42^nd with times of 22:48.20 and 23:22.30 respectively.

Sophomore Bing Hudson led the men's team across the line in the 8K with a personal best time of 25:04.90 to finish 21^st overall. James Schmidt followed closely on his heels to claim 23^rd at a personal best 25:08.90.

Brian Risse posted a time of 26:05.80 to finish 42^nd while Cayden Durrough crossed the line 48^th with a personal best time of 26:31.30. Freshman Trey Haralson brought the Bisons home with a time of 26:47.00 to finish 56^thin his collegiate debut.
