HOW IT HAPPENED

Luca Naumann had the first good look with a strike in the 10' minute that went just wide of the near post as the Bisons controlled much of the possession in the early goings.

The Bisons had a pair of good looks in the 17' minute with a shot from Louis Robinson skirting just wide and a shot by Malachi Jones forcing a save to keep the pressure on the Bears.

Lipscomb earned a corner in the 23' minute and nearly cashed in when Naumann rocketed another shot that forced a big Bears save.

Things opened up for Lipscomb in the 30' minute when Noah Gulden played a ball to Spicer who slipped behind his defender and finished a left-footed shot for a 1-0 lead.

Just a minute after, the Bisons once again broke down the Bears' defense and Hayes Wood and Spicer combined with Jones who cashed in for a 2-0 Lipscomb lead.

The Lipscomb offense continued to fire on all cylinders for a third goal in the 37' minute. Smith got the ball in Lipscomb's attacking third and played it off to Ploutarchos Alonefti. Alonefti then played the ball through back to Smith who put the ball in the back of the net for a 3-0 lead.

Central Arkansas got a goal back early in the second half when a free kick somehow made its way through both squads and into the back of the net for a 3-1 Lipscomb advantage.

The Bisons bounced back and continued to control possession and earned another chance in the 65' minute when Jones was taken down in the box. Wood took the penalty and calmly converted for a 4-1 Lipscomb advantage.

Lipscomb got back on the board in the 74' minute when Dang rose and got on the end of a corner kick with service from Naumann for a 5-1 advantage.

Just a minute later, Alejandro Lopez took a left-footed strike on service from Gulden for a 6-1 advantage.

Central Arkansas scored in the 90' minute, but Lipscomb walked away with the 6-2 victory and the ASUN Tournament Championship.
