Location: Nashville, TN. (Allen Arena)

THE SHORT STORY

The Bisons continued to roll as they claimed their third straight win of the season with a sizable victory over the Oakwood at home 77-46. Kamil Collier stole the show with 25 points and 16 rebounds, both career highs for the freshman.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Bisons got off to another hot shooting start against the Ambassadors on Wednesday, jumping to an early 8-0 lead capped by a Blythe Pearson three ball.

Lipscomb's shooting from deep forced some defense adjustments by the Ambassadors who had to switch from their zone set to man-to-man.

After a short four-point swing by Oakwood, Bella Vinson halted the run with two triples to stretch their lead to double digits (14-4).

Vinson put in 9 points on 3-of-5 shooting, all of which were from beyond the arc as the Bisons held a 22-9 advantage after one quarter of play.

In the second quarter, Kamil Collier entered the contest and gave the Bisons solid minutes as she scored 10 points, including seven of the first nine buckets for the squad.

The Bisons were led at the half by Collier and Vinson who scored 12 and 11 points respectively.

Later in the period, the Bisons began a run converting their defensive pressure into easy buckets down low on their end.

Their play sparked a 9-2 run to close the half with a 40-19 advantage.

The third quarter was a back-and-forth affair with the teams trading buckets for most of the quarter. Oakwood edged the Bisons in the quarter by and 18-16 mark to cut their deficit to 19.

Collier led the way again in the fourth quarter putting in 9 points on 3-of-4 shooting from the floor. The squad stretched their lead to as much as 33 in the frame which included a 10-point scoring swing with 6:02 remaining.

The Bisons outscored the Ambassadors 21-9, due in large part to their effort on the defensive end as they forced eight turnovers helping them claimed their third straight victory.
