NASHVILLE – Lipscomb Men's Soccer is once again on the national stage after the United Soccer Coaches released its final list of National Division I Players to Watch for the 2022 season on Tuesday.
Junior
Tyrese Spicer was named to the forwards watch list while Senior
Noah Gulden was named to the watch list of defenders.
Spicer and Gulden were the only representativse from the ASUN on their respective lists while Karim Diao of Central Arkansas was on the midfielders watch list.
Spicer was one of 30 student athletes named to the forwards watch list, joining the likes of players from powerhouse programs. The ASUN Preseason Player of the Year had a breakout sophomore campaign. He was named to the 2021 United Soccer Coaches All-Region Second Team, a 2021 ASUN First Team All-Conference member and the ASUN Championship Co-MVP. The forward finished the season ranked second in the league in goals (8), and first in both assists (7) and points (23). He finished the 2021 regular season leading the Bisons with six goals and three assists and was named the ASUN Championship Co-MVP, scoring two goals and dishing three assists during Lipscomb's Championship run.

Gulden, the ASUN Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, was one of just 24 defenders to make the watch list. One of the most decorated Bisons in program history, Gulden had another phenomenal season in 2021 earning Defensive Player of the Year, All-Conference First Team, United Soccer Coaches First-Team All-Region, United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American, ASUN Scholar Athlete of the Year and ASUN All-Academic Team honors. The Drammen, Norway native led Lipscomb with seven assists last season, including on four of the Bisons' game-winning goals. He was a two-time 2021 Defensive Player of the Week and started every match and played nearly every minute in the 2021 season.

After defeating Louisville 2-1 in its first preseason contest, the Purple and Gold will be back in action at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex Saturday, August 20 for its final preseason match against UAB at 6P30 p.m. CT.
