NASHVILLE - Join your fellow Bisons baseball alumni and friends for the annual First Pitch Dinner on Saturday, Jan. 27, at the George Shinn Center on the Lipscomb University campus.

This year's featured speaker is Buck Martinez. Martinez is a former MLB catcher, manager and television commentator. After 17 years of MLB service with the Royals, Brewers and Blue Jays, Martinez served as Manager of the Blue Jays (2001-02) and for Team USA in the inaugural World Baseball Classic in 2006. Martinez then began his broadcasting career, where he covered television and radio for the Baltimore Orioles and Toronto Blue Jays, as well as nationally for TBS and MLB Network.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; dinner and program begin at 6 p.m. No charge to attend the event. However, you may purchase a table that seats seven for $1,000. There will be live music along with schedule posters given out with the opportunity for players to sign them.
