HOW IT HAPPENED
Both teams were searching for early goals and Lipscomb's Nick Dang rose for a header on a corner kick in the 4' minute, but the shot was saved.
Lipscomb continued to send balls towards its goal with a shot by Levi Jones in the 13' minute and one by Daniel Stampatori in the 24' minute. The shots were saved and went just wide, respectively.
Jacksonville finally broke through with a goal in the 38' minute against the run play to go ahead 1-0.
The Bisons responded quickly with an equalizer not even a minute later. After a dangerous cross was cleared by a Jacksonville defender, Luca Naumann ripped a shot from 20 yards out and found the back corner of the net for a 1-1 match.
The Bisons were dangerous in the final minutes of the half, but the game was tied 1-1 after the first frame.
In the second half, Lipscomb was the aggressor for much of the frame and it paid off in the 57' minute. Alonefti played a ball from the right side to the back post where Smith was waiting. Smith chested the ball down to his right foot and hit the ball off the bottom of the crossbar and in.
Jacksonville searched for the equalizer in the final minutes of the match, but the Bisons defended well through the final minutes and saw out a 2-1 victory to end the regular season.

Lipscomb will play on Monday, Nov. 6 in the ASUN Semifinal. The Bisons will host the winner of Central Arkansas and Queens which will be played at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex on Saturday, Nov. 4.
