Softball Unveils 2024 Schedule

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb Softball and Head Coach Kristin Ryman announced Tuesday the Bisons' full 2024 game schedule. The Bisons are set for 54 games this season, with 29 non-conference games and 25 match-ups against ASUN opponents.
 
The Purple and Gold will kick off their season at the Candrea Classic, hosted by the University of Arizona, over February 9-11th. The Bisons will first face Northern Colorado on Friday morning, followed by a match-up with Arizona that night, they will then take on Utah Tech and Northern Colorado on Saturday before wrapping up their weekend in Tucson with a morning game against North Texas on Sunday.
 
The squad will then head to Greenville, S.C. to take part in the Furman Invitational across February 16-18th. Lipscomb's squad will face Georgetown and Towson on Friday, Towson and IUPUI on Saturday, and will finish their time in Greenville against the Furman Paladins on Sunday.
 
The Bisons will then travel to take part in the Carolina Classic, hosted by North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C. over February 23-25th. The squad will face off with George Washington and North Carolina on Friday, George Washington and Mount St. Mary's on Saturday, and wrap up the weekend with a second match against North Carolina on Sunday.
 
Lipscomb will return to Music City on Wednesday, Feb. 28th for their home opener. It will be a showdown with local foe Belmont, set to begin at 3:00 p.m. CT.
 
After their first run of early tournaments, the Bisons will then welcome Georgetown, North Dakota State, and Murray State to Draper Diamond over March 1-3rd for the Purple/Gold Challenge. Lipscomb will face off with North Dakota State and Murray State on Friday, take on North Dakota State and Georgetown on Saturday, and finish out their first home tournament of the season with a match-up against Murray State on Sunday.
 
Following a trip up to Clarksville to take on ASUN foe Austin Peay on March 6th, the Purple and Gold will return to Draper Diamond for the Music City Classic, welcoming Iona and Illinois-Chicago to Nashville across March 9-10th with a double header against Iona on Friday and a double header against Illinois-Chicago on Saturday.
 
The Bisons will finish off their main run non-conference play with a mid-week home game against SEC foe Kentucky (Mar. 13) before kicking off ASUN play with a road trip to Florence, Ala. to face off with North Alabama (Mar. 16-17).
 
Lipscomb will return home to take on the North Florida Ospreys March 23-24th, celebrating their annual Dads and Daughters game during the first game of the double-header on 23rd. The squad will then hit the road for games against FGCU (Mar. 29-30th), Western Kentucky (Apr. 3), and Bellarmine (Apr. 6-7th).
 
The Purple and Gold then return to Music City for an 11-game home-stand, beginning with a local match-up against Middle Tennessee (Apr. 10). The Bisons will then welcome Queens to Nashville over Apr. 13-14th, followed by the Chattanooga Mocs on Apr. 17.

Lipscomb will next host a set of back-to-back series against ASUN foes Central Arkansas and Jacksonville. The Bisons will host Alumni weekend over the UCA series (Apr. 20-21st) and will follow with Senior Weekend against the Dolphins (Apr. 27-28th).
 
The Bisons will conclude their regular season with a series at Eastern Kentucky over May 2-3rd. The Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament will take place over May 7-11th at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Ala. and feature the top eight teams in the ASUN standings.
