ATLANTA, Ga. – Lipscomb softball's
Kamrie Rich was named to ASUN All-Conference Third Team, while
Kaylyn Belfield garnered ASUN All-Freshman Team honors, the league announced on Tuesday.
Maci Cunconan and Rich were also named to the ASUN All-Academic Team.
Rich ranked 2nd in the ASUN in on-base percentage (.493), tied for 3rd in doubles (8), 4th in batting average (.383), 7th in extra-base hits (10), and was one of the toughest to strike out in the ASUN with only four strikeouts this season. The senior was also one of the top catchers in the ASUN this season, ranking 2nd in the ASUN with 13 runners caught stealing this season. Rich tallied 11 multi-hit games this season, including a season-high four hits against Eastern Kentucky on April 29 and a three-double performance against Kennesaw State.
Belfield ranked fourth in the ASUN in batting average amongst freshmen in conference play with a .304 batting average, was tied for second on the team with 21 hits during conference play (third on the team with 33 hits overall), and posted a .422 OBP in conference play, which ranks in the top-20 in the ASUN. The freshman was the main lead-off hitter and left fielder, while also tallied six multi-hit games, including finishing with a season-high three hits against Kennesaw State on April 22. Belfield also hit a walk-off single to give the Bisons a 2-1 win over Stetson on April 1.
Cunconan, who was named to the ASUN All-Academic Team during the 2022 season, has posted a 4.00 cumulative GPA while earning her Certificate in Business Leadership (already earned her Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations). The senior has also tallied a .265 batting average with 30 hits, four doubles, a triple, 10 RBIs, and a .319 slugging percentage in 45 games played this season. She also has posted a .964 fielding percentage this season.
Rich has posted a 4.00 cumulative GPA while earning her Master of Science Degree in Exercise and Nutrition Science (already earned her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science). The senior has also tallied a .314 batting average, 37 hits, a team-high 11 doubles, three home runs, and a team-high 24 RBIs in 46 games for the Bisons this season. Rich has posted multiple hits in 10 games this season, including a season-high 4 hits against Easter Kentucky on April 29.
