NASHVILLE – Lipscomb Men's Soccer had four selections to postseason ASUN teams, the league announced.
Dan Karsten was named the 2024 ASUN Freshman of the Year and earned a spot on the All-Freshman Team while
Javanne Smith was named First Team All-ASUN.
Daniel Stampatori and
Luca Naumann were named to the All-Academic Team.
Dan Karsten earned the honors after a successful freshman campaign where he scored six goals and added an assist for 13 points on the season. He tied for the Lipscomb team lead with his six goals scored. The forward led all ASUN freshman in scoring and points and was top-five in the ASUN in both categories.
Javanne Smith capped off his career with six goals and two assists for 14 points. He tied for the Lipscomb lead in goals and ranked top-five in the ASUN in both categories.
Daniel Stampatori earned a spot on the ASUN All-Academic Team for the first time in his career. The junior boasts a 3.80 GPA while studying marketing. Stampatori played and started in all 16 matches for the Bisons with one goal and an assist on the season.
Luca Naumann also earned a spot on the ASUN All-Academic team for the first time in his career. The graduate student holds a 4.0 GPA while studying for a masters in family and marriage therapy. Naumann played and started in 13 games and added an assist this season.
