Baseball Announces 2026 Schedule

NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb University Baseball team has announced the program's 2026 schedule from head coach Jeff Forehand

54 games are listed on the schedule, with 29 contests taking place at Ken Dugan Field at Stephen Lee Marsh Stadium.

"As with every team in the country, we are excited for the start of the 2026 season. We have three exciting home series to open the season with Dayton, Villanova and Toledo before traveling to Mississippi State in the fourth weekend," said Forehand.

11 of the first 12 games will take place at home, starting with a three-game series with Dayton from Feb. 13-15. The Flyers return to the schedule for the first time since 2014.

Opening Day will commence on Friday, Feb. 13 at 3 p.m.

The Bisons will make their first trip of the young season to Cookeville on Feb. 17 for a midweek bout with Tennessee Tech. The Golden Eagles will make the return trip to Nashville on Tuesday, April 28.

Villanova will make its second consecutive trip to the Music City in 2026 to face Lipscomb on Feb. 20-22. The Wildcats took two of three from the Bisons last season.

The baseball editions of the Battle of the Boulevard will happen on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at Dugan Field and on March 24 at Rose Park. The Bisons and Bruins split last season's matchups, with the road team taking each game. Lipscomb defeated Belmont last March 25 for Forehand's 700th collegiate win.

Going into March, the Bisons will play a four-game "wrap-around" series with Toledo from Friday, Feb. 28 to Monday, March 2. The Rockets and Bisons have played one time previously, with a 12-6 win for Lipscomb on Feb. 21, 2019.

The high point of the non-conference schedule will be when the Bisons host the Commodores of Vanderbilt University on Tuesday, April 14, for a 6 p.m. first pitch. This will be the second time in the last three seasons (2024, 2026) and just the ninth time since 2004 that Vandy will play at Ken Dugan Field.

The Bisons' final non-conference series will be with Mississippi State from the Southeastern Conference on March 6-8, before conference play starts. Lipscomb returns to play at Dudy Noble Field for the first time since 2023.

Other non-conference contests on the road will be at Memphis (March 10), Evansville (March 17) and Tennessee (April 21). The Bisons will also play a home-and-home with Middle Tennessee State. The Bisons will head to Murfreesboro on April 7, while the Blue Raiders will come to Nashville on May 5.

"Our non-conference schedule will get us prepared for league play. It gives us the opportunity to prepare us for a deep run in both the ASUN and the NCAA Tournament," said Forehand.

Conference play will be a similar format to 2025, as the Bisons will play a home-and-home series against teams from the Gold Division and will not play any conference teams from the Graphite Division.

Teams in the Gold Division include Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Central Arkansas, Eastern Kentucky, Lipscomb and North Alabama.

Teams in the Graphite Division include Florida Gulf Coast, Jacksonville, North Florida, Queens, Stetson and West Georgia.
