Box Score TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Lipscomb Baseball rallied late, but ultimately fell 11-5 on Saturday afternoon at Florida State.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Both squads got a runner in scoring position after a double in the first inning, but both pitchers got out of the early jam and stranded a runner in scoring position for a no score game after the first inning.
Florida state took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second, scoring the pair of runs on three hits.
The Seminoles increased its lead by five runs with the help of the long ball for a 7-0 FSU lead after three complete innings.
Lipscomb responded with back-to-back hits from
Jake Berg and
David Coppedge, but a strikeout ended the inning stranding the pair of Lipscomb runners.
Florida State added runs in the fourth and fifth innings to take a 10-1 advantage after five innings.
The Bisons got a run back in the top of the sixth after
Brady Miller reached on a hit by pitch and
Kai Holm notched a single. Miller eventually scored on a wild pitch to cut the FSU lead 10-1. The Seminoles got the run back in the bottom of the inning for a 11-1 game after six complete.
Lipscomb scored its second run of the day in the top of the seventh after three free passes and an
Alejandro Ludeiro single. The Bisons found themselves with the bases loaded with no outs. A Miller single and Berg sacrifice bunt helped the Bisons score three more runs, cutting the Seminoles' lead 11-5 before three outs came.
The score held at 11-5 for the remaining innings as the Bisons fell in game two of the series at Florida State.
