GREENSBORO, N.C. – Lipscomb University star outfielder Hutson Miles was honored as a Gold Glove recipient by the American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings on Wednesday afternoon.
He was named a finalist for the Gold Glove on Monday.
He joins Derek Curiel of LSU and Ty Head of North Carolina State as a part of the outfield.
Miles, a junior from Madison, Tennessee, was one of the top outfielders in the nation in 2026. Coming to Lipscomb from Columbia State Community College, he was a top-five shortstop by JUCO Pipeline. He moved to the Bisons outfield during the fall, and he has been golden ever since.
According to 6-4-3 Charts at the start of the NCAA Tournament, he posted a 15.48 defensive runs saved stat with four outfield assists and a .980 fielding percentage.
An All-ASUN Second Team selection, Miles was in the top-five in wins above replacement at 2.6.
At the plate, Miles was second on the team in hitting with a .340 average. Totaling 66 hits and an OPS of .893, he scored 55 runs, second-most in the league.
Additionally, he finished 11th in Division I in triples with six, setting a new program record.
Lipscomb University now has two ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove winners in program history since the award started in 2007, and it was also an outfielder. Michael Gigliotti was honored back in 2017.
The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams were first recognized in 2007 and are presented annually to the top defensive players from each division of collegiate and high school baseball.
