Box Score NASHVILLE, TN – The Bisons and Govs battled rain delays throughout the day, rescheduling the game to 2:30 PM before ultimately throwing the first pitch at 6:00 PM.
Between showers, Lipscomb honored their seniors.

Laine Barefoot all received their flowers for the work they have done for the program, and the Bisons were determined to send them off on a high note with a win.

For the first time in the series, Lipscomb could tally a run before Austin Peay.
Macyn Kirby recorded the game's first hit to lead the Bisons off, singling to left field. Senior
Josey Polk reached base on a fielder's choice for Kirby to be tagged out at second, but
Brenna Sherman took matters into her own hands. She connected with the ball to send it flying over the center field fence for a two-run Bisons homer.
Tori Womack celebrated her senior day with a homer of her own in the bottom of the fourth. Womack launched the ball to left field for her fourth home run of the season and eighth of her career. After four, the Bisons held a 3-0 lead on the Govs.
Alyssa Hastings and
Josey Polk led off the bottom of the fifth with back-to-back singles and both advanced a base on a passed ball. Sherman was walked to load the bases and continue Lipscomb's momentum.
Elle Smith singled to the pitcher and Hastings was tagged out at home. With two outs, the Govs caught a line out to leave all three runners stranded.
The Govs evened the score in the top of the sixth, sending three runners home on a double that just barely stopped short of the wall at center field.
Hastings matched Austin Peay's long double with one of her own, the ball dropping in nearly the exact stop as the previous half-inning.
Mallory Ogle scored on the double to regain the lead for the Bisons. J.Polk reached on an error to send Hastings home and Lipscomb extended their lead to two at 5-3.
The Bisons locked down on defense, closing the seventh inning after facing four batters and securing their victory in their final game at Draper Diamond this season.
Mallory Ogle swung 2-3 on the nights, scoring a run. Aussa Hastings hit .500, including a double for an RBI and a run.
Laine Barefoot allowed just eight hits and one walk throughout the game.

Lipscomb will travel to Oxford, Alabama to participate in the ASUN Softball Tournament. The Bisons await their seeding, which will be announced after tomorrow's final ASUN regular season contests.
