NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb Men's and Women's Cross Country kicked off their 2025 season at the Belmont Opener Friday morning at Percy Warner Park. The men's 5k started at 8:45 a.m. CT followed by the women's 5k at 9:15 a.m. CT, with both teams turning in strong opening performances against a competitive field.

Women's Race (5k)

The women were led by Delaney Dumm, who finished 5th overall with a time of 18:15.45. She was followed closely by Grace McGuckin in 7th (18:36.89) and Addi Greene in 9th (18:43.99), giving the Bisons three runners inside the top 10.

Brinkley Cooper crossed in 17th with a 19:25.76, while Juane' Klaus (25th, 20:12.88) and Bethany Wright (26th, 20:13.91) ran closely together to help round out the scoring group. Carly Miller closed the day for Lipscomb in 30th with a time of 20:34.35.

Men's Race (5k)

The men's squad was paced by TJ Jones, who claimed runner-up honors in 15:15.12. Lipscomb stacked five runners in the top 15, showcasing depth early in the season.

Sam Widmaier finished 9th overall (15:32.30), followed by Daniel Winkelman (10th, 15:34.61), Noah Wasserman (12th, 15:39.68), and Dade Humes (15th, 15:45.39). Jaden Hillis (16th, 15:49.79) and Corban McGaughey (19th, 15:55.43) also finished inside the top 20, giving Lipscomb seven runners in top position.

Rounding out the Bisons were Brennan Kaplan (34th, 16:24.50), Gavin Bacus (35th, 16:37.39), and Michael Polizzi(36th, 16:47.77).
