Women's Tennis Finalizes Fall 2025 Schedule

NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb University women's tennis team has announced its fall schedule for the 2025-26 season, which will start this weekend in the Music City. 

The Bisons will compete in five tournaments, with three in the Nashville metro area.

The season starts with a weekend tournament at home, co-hosting the Lipscomb/Belmont Fall Invitational #1 on Sept. 19-21. Below is the schedule: 

Friday, Sept. 19
3:30 p.m. - Lipscomb vs. Eastern Kentucky (Singles)

Saturday, Sept. 20
10 a.m. - Lipscomb vs. Eastern Kentucky (Doubles)
11 a.m. - Lipscomb vs. Belmont (Singles)
3 p.m. - Lipscomb vs. East Tennessee State (Doubles)

Sunday, Sept. 21
10 a.m. - Lipscomb vs. Belmont (Doubles)
11 a.m. - Lipscomb vs. East Tennessee State (Singles)

The following weekend, two Bisons will compete in the Milwaukee Tennis Classic on Sept. 25-28. Last season, Mariia Dolzhenko and Sofiia Paladi participated in the event. This season, the duo will return to Wisconsin. 

On Oct. 3-5, Lipscomb and Belmont will co-host a second fall tournament. 

The following weekend, Oct. 11-13, the Bisons will head to Murfreesboro for MTSU's fall invite. 

The ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships will take place on Oct. 16-19 in Knoxville, hosted by the University of Tennessee. 

The fall schedule concludes on Oct. 24-26 in Jacksonville, Florida. The Bisons will participate in the conference individual draw, hosted by North Florida. The tournament will be a crucial part of selections for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Draw, which is scheduled to take place from Nov. 18-23 from the U.S. Tennis Association's National Campus in Orlando, Florida. 

Lipscomb posted a 34-23 singles record and added seven doubles wins in five fall tournaments last season. Sofiia Paladi, who defeated Salakthip Ounmang of Oklahoma last season at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic, went 11-5 last fall in singles. Mariia Dolzhenko added eight wins, followed by Sofiia Zhylchuk's seven.
