INDIANAPOLIS – Announced on Monday by the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the Lipscomb University Baseball team will make a second trip to Starkville, Mississippi in 2026. The second trip will be for an NCAA Regional, as the Bisons will take on the 14-seed Bulldogs on Friday from Dudy Noble Field at 1 p.m.

The Bisons (29-24) secured the Automatic Qualifier to the NCAA Tournament after defeating North Alabama in the ASUN Tournament Championship Game on Saturday to win their fourth ASUN Tournament Championship (2008-15-23-26). 

Lipscomb makes its fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in program history. Playing its second regional in four years, the Bisons have played previously at Georgia (2008), Vanderbilt (2015), Clemson (2023) and Starkville (2026). Head Coach Jeff Forehand, in his 20th season as the skipper of the program, has been there for all four.

All-time, the Bisons are 1-6 in NCAA Regional games, with the one win coming on May 30, 2008, when Lipscomb defeated No. 8 Georgia in its first-ever NCAA Tournament game 10-7.

The Bisons are no stranger to "StarkVegas", as this will be the second time this season they will play at Dudy Noble Field. Lipscomb was swept by Mississippi State back on March 5-7. 

The other two teams in the Starkville Regional will include Cincinnati, an at-large selection out of the Big 12 Conference, and Louisiana, also an at-large bid from the Sun Belt Conference. Lipscomb has not faced these teams in its Division I era. 

The four-team regional will be double-elimination format, with the winner advancing to the Super Regionals.
