High School: Prepped at Calvary Day Baptist under the tutelage of Phillip Lee...First Team All-State (2014)...First Team All-Region (2014 & 2015)...Perfect Game Underclass Third Team All-American (2015)...Also named to the All-City team in 2014 and 2015...Named the Savannah Morning News Baseball Player of the Year as a senior after leading the area with a .587 batting average and a .714 on-base percentage...Also added 44 hits, 10 doubles, one triple, two home runs, 22 RBI, 32 runs scored, 31 walks and just seven strike outs...As a catcher he had just three errors and a .980 fielding percentage while helping the Cavaliers to the GHSA Class A Private Final Four...As a sophomore he batted .479 with 34 hits in 71 at-bats, 26 runs, eight doubles and 21 RBI...Hit .355 as a junior with an on-base percentage over .500...Named a Rawlings-Perfect Game Honorable Mention All-American Southeast Region...Also named a Perfect Game Underclass Honorable Mention in 2014 and a Underclass All-American in 2015.
