Todd Yost enters his second season with Bisons Baseball after helping the squad win the ASUN regular season and tournament championships in his first year as an assistant coach for head coach Jeff Forehand.
Yost works with Bisons' hitters and outfielders and helps with base running while also being a vital part of the Lipscomb recruiting efforts. The Bisons led the ASUN in stolen bases in his first year as the first base coach. Yost also saw his center fielder Alex Vergara earn an All-ASUN third-team selection.
Before his time at Lipscomb, Yost had short stints in a similar role at Cal State Northridge and Trevecca Nazarene. He also coached the OC Riptide in the California Collegiate League.Â
The Fullerton, California native graduated and played ball at Westmont College in Santa Barabra after transferring from Fullerton CC. In his one season as a Warrior, Yost appeared in 25 games and made 22 starts. He posted a .274 batting average with two doubles and nine RBIÂ while also carrying a .361 on-base percentage as an infielder. He had a .970 fielding rate in the infield and five multi-hit games. Yost left Westmont College with a degree in Communications studies in 2019.Â
