Bisons fight, but fall at No. 1 Vanderbilt

Haddon Adams lead the team with two hits, a single and a double. Dylan Bierman earned the start and threw two innings, allowing one run on two hits. Wyatt Folsom and Bryce Einstein each threw a scoreless inning.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Adams came out of the dugout swinging and lead off with a double to left center, giving the Bisons an early base runner.

Adams used heads-up base running to plate Lipscomb's first of the night, scoring on a wild pitch. The Bisons weren't done and took a 2-0 lead when Carter Smith barreled a ball past the right field wall for his second home run of the season.

The Bisons increased its lead 3-0 in the top of the third. Brian Moore worked a leadoff walk and Adams singled to put runners on the corners with no outs. The third run came when Tiger Borom put a ball in play to plate the run.

The Commodores fought back with four runs in the bottom of the third to take a 4-3 lead. Vanderbilt plated four more in the bottom of the fifth and three more in the bottom of the sixth to balloon its lead 11-3.
Neither team scored in the final two and a half innings for a final score of 11-3.
