NASHVILLE – Lipscomb Men's Soccer and head coach Charles Morrow announced the schedule for the Bisons' 2022 season on Wednesday.

After an incredible 2021 season in which the Bisons emerged as the ASUN Regular Season champions and earned their third ASUN Tournament Champion title in five years, the Bisons are slated to play 18 matches this season, followed by the 2022 ASUN tournament in November. The Bisons will defend their home turf at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex for eight of these matches. 

The Purple and Gold will face five 2021 NCAA Tournament participants, three of which made it to the second round or further. 

Lipscomb will begin the season with a pair of exhibition matches at home against Louisville on Aug. 13 and against UAB on Aug. 20.

The Bisons will then open the regular season with a home match against Purdue-Fort Wayne (Aug. 25) before closing out their August matches at St. Louis University, 2021 NCAA Tournament quarterfinalist, on Aug. 28. 

September play begins with the Purple and Gold on the road to take on Florida Atlantic University on Sept. 3. Lipscomb will then return to Nashville but head up the road for their most recent installment of the Battle of the Boulevard to face familiar foe Belmont on Sept. 6. 

ASUN play will begin that Saturday when the Herd welcomes Jacksonville to the Lipscomb Soccer Complex (Sept. 10) before hitting the road to take on the Liberty Flames a week later (Sept. 17).

The Purple & Gold will take a brief respite from conference play to travel to Lexington, Ky. to face the Kentucky Wildcats (Sept. 20) after their slated match was canceled just minutes into the game last season. The Lipscomb Soccer Complex will then see the Bisons host a pair of matches as they welcome Queens University on Sept. 24 and Georgia State on Sept. 27. 
Lipscomb will then hit the road for a four-match stretch against Central Arkansas (Oct. 1), Mercer (Oct. 4), Stetson (Oct. 15), and Memphis (Oct. 18).

A pair of conference matches will close out Lipscomb's October schedule with a home match against North Florida (Oct. 22) and a match in Ft. Myers, Fl. to take on FGCU (Oct. 29).
The Bisons will conclude their regular season on November 1 with a home match against the Bellarmine Knights.
