vNASHVILLE, TN – Lipscomb's men's and women's cross-country teams ran the Gans Creek Classic in Columbia, MO on Friday morning. The Bisons had 25 runners compete in the event with ten in the Men's 8k Invite, seven in the Women's 6k Invite, and eight in the Men's 8k Open.
Gans Creek Classic – Men's 8k Invite
The men started their race at 8:00 AM CT and placed sixth of 36 teams with a total of 213 points. Preseason ASUN Men's Runner of the Year
Braedon Palmer placed 19
th in the race to lead the Bisons with a time of 23:26.8. His time is a personal best since he ran a 24:19.6 back in 2021. Palmer was followed by Matthew Hansen, who finished the race in 23:57.2 to place 34
th overall.
Ben Butcher (23:59.0) and
James Schmidt (24:01.5) also finished in the top 50 in 41
st and 45
th respectively.
Cole Kimmel (24:27.7),
Brady Yingst (24:27.9), and
Will Goodrich (24:27.9) claimed 79

st in succession and were followed by

The women's race began at 8:45 AM CT where Lipscomb placed 23
rd of 38 teams with a total time of 1:50:35.5 and an average pace of 22:07.10.
Sydney Liddle set a new personal best in the 6k when she placed 61
st with a time of 21:14.6. She led Lipscomb's efforts as the first Bison to cross the finish.
Abigail Horevay was not far behind Liddle, finishing 71
st with a time of 21:23.1 as the other athlete to finish in the top 75.
Juane' Klaus (21:58.0) crossed 139
th, followed by
Ella Johnson (22:46.8) in 217
