After adding a run in the fourth, UK tacked on five runs in the fifth to put the game away via run rule.
The Bisons had chances early in the contest. After a dropped ball error by the Kentucky second baseman on a fielder's choice by Casey Sunseri to load the bases, Nic McCay was able to get out of the jam with a strikeout on the next batter.

In the night cap, Rigo Ramos was able to keep the Wildcats off the board, as he faced one batter over the minimum through four frames, including a called third strike on Devin Burkes to end the first.
The Bisons got the bats going in the bottom of the fourth. Following a leadoff walk by Jacob Tobias and a bunt single by David Coppedge, Keaton Mahan also put down a bunt to attempt to move both runners into scoring position, but a bad throw by Burkes saw Tobias score on the play to get the good guys on the board first.
Next up, Damion Kenealy Jr came up and laced a hit to left field to drive in Coppedge for the 2-0 score.
Later, a wild pitch by starter Ben Cleaver made it a 3-0 advantage for the Bisons.
In the fifth, Kentucky wanted to answer, and after a single and two walks to load the bases with one out off of Ramos. However, the Bowling Green transfer slammed the door with back-to-back strikeouts to keep the visitors off the scoreboard.
