Box Score 2 FLORENCE, AL – Lipscomb Softball dropped both games of Friday's ASUN doubleheader at North Alabama, falling 8–3 in Game 1 and 3–0 in Game 2.
GAME 1: NORTH ALABAMA 8, LIPSCOMB 3
North Alabama struck first with two runs in the second inning and continued to build its lead with multiple runs in the third and fourth innings to go ahead 8–1.
The Bisons got on the board in the third inning when Brenna Sherman singled up the middle to score Mallory Ogle, cutting the deficit to 2–1.
North Alabama responded with a run in the bottom half of the inning and added insurance runs in the fourth to extend its advantage.
Lipscomb battled back in the fifth inning as Presley Rader delivered a two-RBI single to left field, bringing home Briley Burns and Mallory Ogle to trim the deficit to 8–3.
The Bisons were unable to complete the comeback as North Alabama secured the win.
GAME 2: NORTH ALABAMA 3, LIPSCOMB 0
North Alabama got on the board early with a two-run home run in the first inning to take a 2–0 lead.
The Lions added another run in the fourth inning to extend their advantage to 3–0.
Lipscomb was unable to generate offense in the contest as North Alabama held the Bisons scoreless to complete the doubleheader sweep.
