Men's Soccer Earns Road Victory at Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Lipscomb defeated Jacksonville on the road, 1-0 on Saturday. This victory marked the first road win for the Lipscomb men's soccer team in 20 matches, dating back to 2024.
FIRST HALF
- Jacksonville earned two early corner kicks and later put two shots on frame, with the Bisons held strong with a pair of saves in the first 20 minutes to keep things scoreless.
-James Pidutti put the Bisons' first listed shot on goal in the 29' minute, but Simen Havig made the save.
- The closing minutes of the frame included physical play, and Kylian Karsenty sent a shot high in the final minutes, as the half ended scoreless.
SECOND HALF
- Jacksonville had the first looks after halftime, including shots in the 54th and 64th minutes and a corner kick, but the match remained scoreless through the opening stretch.
- Tobias Sosa put the Bisons ahead 1-0 in the 70' minute with the first goal of the match after James Pidutti sent a ball near the penalty spot, giving Sosa the opportunity.
- Kara made saves on Mathias Mjaavatn in the 70' minute and Matias Tobon in the 73' minute as Jacksonville pushed back with two corner kicks in the next three minutes.
- The Bisons answered with pressure of their own, getting three shots and two corners from in the 76' minute before adding another Jorge Morejon shot on goal in the 83' minute.Â

Sosa scored the game-winning goal on his only shot and finished with two points. Kara played all 90 minutes in goal, made three saves and recorded a shutout. Morejon led the Bisons with three shots, putting all three on goal.
